The search box searches all of the property within a specific category.
For example, when you browse to the vehicles category, or select vehicles from the category drop-down, and search for the word "Dodge", you will get a list of auctions in the vehicles category that contain the word "Dodge".
The advanced search page allows you to modify your search type by:
Returns auctions results that contain all of the search terms entered but not in the exact phrase entered.
Returns auctions results that contain any of the search terms entered but not in the exact phrase entered.
Returns auctions results that contain an exact match of the phrase entered.
